Alexey Miroshnichenko

Alexey Miroshnichenko is a specialist in Extradition Defense and Human Rights Law.

From 1986 to 2000, he worked as an investigator in the internal affairs bodies and in the prosecutor’s Office. Then he held the position of Deputy Prosecutor of the South-Eastern Administrative District of Moscow.

In 1997, he moved to work in the justice authorities, where he held the position of Deputy Head of the Main Department of Justice of Moscow – the chief bailiff.

Initially, he was registered in the Moscow Region Chamber of Lawyers, and in 2018 he moved to the Moscow Chamber of Lawyers. He was a member of the Bar Association of the Moscow Region (branch No. 37), then in 2017 he moved to the St. Petersburg Bar Association “Pen and Paper”, a branch of Moscow, and in October 2020 opened his own law office.

In the course of his legal activity, he was mainly engaged in the defense of persons accused of committing white collar crimes. He represented the following citizens who were ultimately acquitted:

In 2006, the court acquitted the general director of JSC “Saratovneftegaz” Tyurev S. A. (Saratov).

In 2019, the court acquitted the director of JSC “NIIMASH” Emelianenkov V. A. (Smolensk).

Also, as a lawyer, he participated in a number of high-profile cases, in particular:

During 2007-2014, he was a member of the Russian team for the defense of the leaders of the NK Yukos Khodorkovsky M. V. and Lebedev P. L.

He defended a number of persons involved in the criminal case of the riots on Bolotnaya Square in 2012.

He defended civil activists-leaders of civil protest in Ingushetia in 2019-2020.

Education

In 1986, he graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Lomonosov Moscow State University with a degree in Law.
